Why realtors use Festival greetings

Dates handled for you

Lunar and lunisolar dates move every year. We keep track, as observed in Canada, so the greeting appears on time.

In their own language

Lines in Punjabi, Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and French, beside the English greeting.

Made for each festival

A small motif per festival — a diya, a crescent, a lantern, a maple leaf — in your site’s own colours.

Signed by you

Each greeting ends with your name. Write your own message if you prefer, up to 160 characters.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Step 1: Turn on greetings

In Branding, switch on Festival greetings. They are off until you choose.

  2. Step 2: Pick your festivals

Tick the ones your clients celebrate, choose ribbon, home-page badge or both, and preview each one.

  3. Step 3: Done for the year

Each greeting shows a few days before the festival and leaves on its own. Next year too.

The festivals

15 festivals, each with its own greeting.

Pick any of them. Each one shows the English greeting, a line in its own language and script, and your name.

Dates as observed in Canada (Eastern time). Greetings use your website’s local date.

Warm, not loud.

Greetings are off until you turn them on, and you only choose the festivals that matter to your clients. Each one is a short, plain wish — no sales pitch — in your website’s own colours, with a small motif drawn for that festival. You can hide the native-script line if you prefer English only, or write your own message.

FAQ

Festival greetings: questions

Read the launch article: Festival greetings for Canada’s communities

Which festivals are included?

New Year, Lunar New Year, Holi, Eid al-Fitr, Nowruz, Vaisakhi, Eid al-Adha, Canada Day, the Mid-Autumn Festival, Navratri & Dussehra, Thanksgiving, Diwali, Gurpurab (Guru Nanak Jayanti), Hanukkah and Christmas.

Do I have to update the dates every year?

No. Fixed-date holidays repeat on their own, Thanksgiving follows the second Monday of October, and the lunar and lunisolar dates are built in for years ahead.

When does a greeting appear?

Usually three days before the festival until a day or two after. You can change the window for each festival, up to a week either side.

Is it free?

Yes, on every plan including the free plan, and on every template in our current catalogue.

Can I write my own message?

Yes. Leave it empty for our default greeting, or write your own (up to 160 characters). You can also hide the native-script line.

Will it get in the way of my website?

No. The ribbon is a slim line above your header that visitors can close, and the badge is a small chip on your home page. Pick whichever you prefer, or both.
